Job Purpose
- Implement regulatory compliance action plans, liaise with regulators for timely permit issuance.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
- The role requires to (1) implement a comprehensive environment protection program to support Client operations, which ensures a compliant operating environment where the companys assets are secure and protected and (2) coordinate with multiple stakeholders planning and execution of environmental programs with planned timeframe in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Conduct monthly environmental compliance evaluation for operating assets and ensures implantation of Environmental Compliance Program (ECP).
- Ensure the completion of applicable environmental monitoring activities in all Assets in accordance with the Consent to Operate (CTO) requirements and internally agreed frequencies to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct environmental baseline studies for projects and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Prepare environmental permit (CTC) applications including technical calculations and supporting documentation and obtain related permits for compliance purposes.
- Prepare reports including incident management, permits, and technical reports on small technical studies projects for management review.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Analyse the Onshore and Offshore activities on regulatory requirements and internal requirements.
- Conduct verification and measurement of applicable environmental standards of Client to ensure alignment to the business.
- Provide support to Senior Engineers for resolution of complex environmental/ regulatory issues, recommended risk-based environmental practices to support department efficiency.
- Prepare procedures for implementation on small projects, based on best practice, in line with department standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 6 years of broad environmental experience within oil & gas, petrochemical or energy industry.
- Broad technical knowledge in multiple environmental disciplines and national and international regulations and standards.
Technical and Business Skills
- Ability to work under tight timelines in sometimes high-pressure situations.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Confident and clear presentation development and delivery.
