Qualification:
- Higher National Degree (HND), or University Degree (Preferably in an Engineering discipline) or an Accredited HSE Professional Certificate Associate membership of a recognized safety institution is desirable.
- Must hold and maintain a valid HSE Management System Lead Auditor certification.
- Valid MoECC‑issued Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) License.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, preferably in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industry, of which at least 10 years involve radiation protection duties, and a minimum of 5 years specifically in construction projects (greenfield and brownfield work).
- Oversight of industrial radiography and/or well logging; MECC licensing/regulator interface; sealed‑source custody, security and transport.
- Dosimetry administration (TLD/OSLD; extremity/lens‑of‑eye), radiation/NORM surveys and area classification.
- Working knowledge of IAEA GSR Part 3, IAEA SSG‑11, Qatar Decree‑Law 31/2002 and Executive Bylaw 4/2003.
- Thorough knowledge of safe work practices, international standards (e.g., ISO 45001:2018), and procedures.
- Conversant with international standards in Environmental Management System.
- Trained in any of the following Incident Investigation Software: TapRoot, SafetyCulture, EasyRCA, Tripod Beta, etc.
- Competent in the use of PC including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and any other relevant software.
- Experience in the GCC is desirable.
