About the job 11.11.2 - QA/QC ENGINEER
Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of oil and gas machinery and equipment.
- Familiarity with risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and software (e.g., CMMS, inspection management systems).
- Time management skills to meet inspection deadlines.
- Physical fitness to perform inspections.
Certifications / Training (Highly Desired):
- Familiar with ISO 18436-2 – Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics of Machines.
- Knowledge of API 686 – Recommended Practice for Machinery Installation and Installation Design (Highly Recommended)
- ASNT Level II or III Certification in NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).
- API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector Certification.
- API 670 – Machinery Protection Systems Certification.
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems Certification.
- OSHA or NEBOSH Certification in Health and Safety.
Experience:
- 15 years experience in the construction of major Green field or Brown-field Process Plants (Refinery, NGL / LNG Plants, Petrochemical complex or similar) in Oil & Gas industry. Experience in GCC is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), and radiography testing (RT). Sound working knowledge on QC aspects and various testing requirements related to major oil & gas / petrochemical focused construction projects.
Ability to work well with contractors personnel and colleagues at all levels in multidisciplinary, multicultural environment
