International Business Development Manager – Latin America (Medical Devices)
medtechrec is partnered with a global medical device organisation to appoint an International Business Development Manager to support market expansion and commercial growth across Latin America. This position plays a key role in developing distributor capability, strengthening market presence and driving the successful introduction of new products across the region.
The role offers a high level of autonomy while operating within clearly defined commercial objectives, including revenue growth, margin performance and compliance standards. The successful candidate will shape their approach to market development, distributor engagement and customer support, provided business outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities

Drive sales growth across assigned territories through direct commercial activity and distributor enablement

Provide product and technical training to distributors and sub-distributors, supporting capability development and market expansion

Support partners in planning and delivering academic, training and promotional activities

Lead market development initiatives for new products and priority market segments

Build and expand relationships with customers, developing the existing partner base and identifying new opportunities

Contribute to brand-building, academic planning and product promotion strategies across target markets

Manage pre-sales, in-sales and post-sales service activities to ensure strong customer experience and long-term relationships

Collaborate with colleagues to support training and promotional activities across wider Latin American markets, as required
Candidate Profile

Strong commercial, market management and customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Hands-on, detail-oriented and proactive, with strong execution capability and the ability to work independently

Resilient and adaptable, comfortable managing frequent domestic and international travel across Latin America

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken), with confidence engaging international customers

Minimum 3+ years experience in the medical device or medical equipment sector; exposure to orthopedics, ENT, urology/gynecology or imaging equipment is advantageous
