Role Overview
As a Podiatrist, you will play a vital role in improving patients' quality of life by diagnosing, managing, and treating foot and ankle conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessments of patients foot and ankle conditions, including injuries, deformities, and chronic issues.
- Provide treatment plans tailored to each patient, utilizing both conservative and surgical interventions as necessary.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and wound care for conditions such as ingrown toenails, ulcers, and infections.
- Educate patients on preventative care and management of foot health, including guidance on footwear and lifestyle changes.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including physical therapists, orthopaedic specialists, and general practitioners.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Stay updated on advancements in podiatric care and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility to practice in the Cayman Islands.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Podiatrist, with expertise in treating both common and complex foot and ankle conditions.
- Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
