Job Summary
To contribute to the Physiotherapy team, ensuring the aims and objectives of the organization are met in the provision of specialist pediatric rehabilitation. The post holder will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services across the outpatient clinic, schools, and patients' homes, aligning with the overall specialist pediatric physiotherapy needs. Demonstrating a professional and proactive approach, the post holder will provide physiotherapy clinical practice and advice to children, young people, and families. Active participation in service improvement and support for future developments, including clinical audit, education, and research programs, is expected.
Communication
- Maintain Physiotherapy records for effective communication within the Clinic and domiciliary settings.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in various situations, such as 1:1 therapy and presentations for groups of staff, patients, or external agencies.
- Inform patients and their families/carers of treatment plans/options, especially when faced with barriers to understanding, demonstrating empathy, reassurance, and persuasive skills.
- Act sensitively and, where appropriate, serve as an advocate to enable informed decision-making by patients.
- Develop effective working relationships within the team to provide coordinated care for clients.
- Represent the organization in a physiotherapy capacity at external meetings as requested by the line manager.
- Take responsibility for communicating changes effectively and in a timely manner.
- Record information identified by the organization for statistical reports.
