Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

At MDE Installations we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance operations at our esteemed client, Dupont.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a small team of electrical maintenance employees, ensuring efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
• Support and assist in electrical maintenance tasks.
• Management of employee attendance and performance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs in consultation with the client to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Implement and adhere to the company safety culture to the highest standard.
• Coordinate with the client's management team to prioritise maintenance activities and address any urgent requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, diagnosing faults and implementing appropriate corrective measures.
• Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary electrical supplies and spare parts.
• Completion of job cost trackers and reporting to the management team.
• Continuous engagement with the Management Team.
• Support and implement HR strategies, initiatives and policies to align with the company culture.
• Engagement with the client on potential additional projects.
• Implementation of company initiatives, systems and policies.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Price electrical projects and submit costings to MDE Management for review. Once approved, then submit to Client.
• Develop and win new business opportunities within DuPont to create sustainable, long term employment for the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or time served with 2 years post qualification experience.
• One year of leading a team in an industrial/manufacturing setting
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes/regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety standards are met.
• Confidence in use of IT systems and applications.
• Positive and Enthusiastic attitude towards work.
• The ability to work on own initiative.
