Join Our Team as an Electrical Contracts Manager
MDE Installations Ltd. is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Contracting Division. Based in our Omagh or Monaghan Office with weekly site visits to NI and ROI based projects, this role is perfect for someone with M&E sector experience.
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in strategy development, solution development, commercial considerations, and risk management. You'll be the point of contact for our valued clients, working in a highly networked role that demands excellent pressure-handling abilities and meeting challenging deadlines. Effective people management of both field and office teams is a must.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Understand project deliverables based on the Tender Submission Document.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage labour tracking weekly.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones and deadlines.
- Lead and manage the entire Project Team, setting individual targets and conducting staff appraisals.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Senior Management Team, including action plans.
- Deliver work outputs that meet project requirements and satisfy clients.
- Proactively contribute to value management and value engineering processes.
- Streamline processes and maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage the work-stream of the program effectively.
- Plan resources for the project and involve additional expertise when needed.
- Take the lead in client interactions, calls, and presentations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, developing innovative solutions.
- Maintain a risk register and develop a risk checklist based on project life cycle phases.
Essential Criteria:
- Junior Cert/Leaving Cert (Level 4 or 5), or GCSE in Maths & English.
- Fully qualified electrician with at least 8 years of experience.
- Full 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety (IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Full, valid, and clean EU/UK driving license.
Desirable Criteria:
- Safe Pass/ECS card and Testing & Inspection qualifications.
- Knowledge of the Electricity Industry.
