Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient care team. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with exposure to a wide range of surgical and gastroenterology cases, while maintaining work-life balance with a days-only schedule.


Position Details
  • Employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group
  • Schedule: Days only no nights required
  • Setting: Inpatient, with collaboration across surgery and gastroenterology
  • Support General Surgery while also assisting with Gastroenterology services, providing comprehensive care to patients 
  • Collaborate on gastroenterology consults and procedures
  • Team Environment: Work closely with surgeons, gastroenterologists, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
  • Perform patient evaluations, daily rounding, and treatment planning
  • Support pre- and post-operative care management
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and follow-up

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Illinois
  • National certification in good standing
  • Prior experience in surgery, gastroenterology, or inpatient care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $120,000-140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
