Prime Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join its inpatient care team serving the Central Maine region. This opportunity offers the ability to practice across a collaborative three-hospital network while delivering high-quality inpatient care in a team-based environment.

The incoming physician will provide coverage across Central Maine Medical Center (Lewiston), Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital, working alongside experienced physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams.

Practice Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated delivery system serving approximately 400,000 patients across central, western, and Midcoast Maine. The system includes:

• Central Maine Medical Center (Lewiston)
• Bridgton Hospital
• Rumford Hospital

The hospitalist team provides coordinated inpatient care across all locations, supported by a strong network of specialists and clinical resources.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, rounds, consults, and discharges
• Collaborate with specialists, nursing teams, and case management
• Coordinate care with the emergency department for admissions
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Provide coverage across multiple hospital sites

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible for or ability to obtain a Maine medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
