Shasta Regional Medical Center, a 226-bed acute care hospital in Redding, California, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join its hospital-owned multi-specialty medical group. This opportunity offers a supportive outpatient practice environment, strong clinical resources, and the ability to participate in graduate medical education teaching while serving the Northern California community.

  • Clinic locations in Anderson or Palo Cedro (approximately 10–15 minutes from the hospital)
  • Dedicated Medical Assistant and Scribe support
  • Average patient volume: 20–27 patients per day

Practice Overview

Shasta Regional Medical Center serves the Northern California region with a comprehensive network of physicians and specialty services. The Primary Care program provides outpatient care to a growing population while maintaining close collaboration with hospital specialists and support staff.

Physicians practice in a team-based environment with dedicated clinical support staff, allowing providers to focus on delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining strong continuity with their patient panels.

What You'll Do

  • Provide outpatient primary care services for adult patients
  • Manage preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
  • See approximately 20–27 patients per day
  • Collaborate with specialists and hospital-based physicians
  • Participate in teaching opportunities through the Internal Medicine residency program

Schedule

Full-Time

  • 4-day work week (four 10-hour weekday shifts)
  • 4 hours per week of administrative time
  • Predictable weekday schedule

Call

  • Approximately 7 days of phone call per month (shared among providers)
  • No weekend clinic responsibilities

What We're Looking For

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Interest in outpatient primary care practice
  • Commitment to team-based, patient-centered care
  • Interest in academic teaching opportunities

Compensation

  • $275,000 income guarantee for Year 1
  • Productivity bonus based on collections
  • Sign-on bonus
