This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including trauma and acute care surgery.

Position Highlights

• Employment: Full-time, hospital-employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group

• Scope of Practice: Bread-and-butter general surgery, acute care surgery, elective procedures, endoscopy, and daytime trauma coverage

• Call Coverage: Home call 1/3 with additional compensated night and weekend shifts available

• Academic Environment: 24/7 general surgery resident coverage; affiliated with the University of Illinois; optional research opportunities

• Setting: Suburban Level One Trauma Center with access to advanced hospital resources

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution

• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA)

• Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• Current DEA registration

• Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary with productivity incentives ($450,000-$550,000 estimated annual total compensation)
