Seeking a skilled and experienced, Director of Care, RN with a passion for building teams that provide exceptional compassionate support to seniors and their families. You are Director of Care RN with a mix of integrity, energy, intelligence with a passion for helping others by leading the care team of RNs, LPNs and Care Aides through a shared vision of exceptional and purposeful direct patient care.

Key Skills:
Director of Care, RN must enjoy engaging with their clinical team, working together as decision-making partners, while coaching, mentoring and supporting the team to grown professionally while providing high-quality patient centred care.
The Director of Care, RN must be able to apply geriatric and nursing knowledge to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure that nursing practice in the care home is caring, compassionate and evidence based.
Director of Care, RN must be a skilled critical thinker, problem solver, and leader able to implement quality assurance and improvement programs and be able to coordinate efforts with other disciplines.
Director of Care, RN must establish standards of conduct and hold their staff accountable to these standards, ensure their staffs competency through oversight of professional development and education programs, provide support, manage conflict and act as a role model.
Lastly, the Director of Care, RN must be adept dealing with regulatory issues, staffing and scheduling, addressing resident and family concerns, attending to conflicts, overseeing nursing care and managing costs.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with 3 to 5 years Director of Care / Nursing Leadership experience within Long-term Residential Care
- Must be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
