Maintenance Lead / Maintenance Technician – Night Shift
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift (10:00 PM–8:00 AM or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Workweek: 5–6 days, weekends required
Openings: 1
Pay: $34+/hour (based on experience) with overtime
Work Setting: On-site
Role Overview
Seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to support manufacturing operations by performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Lead role also includes supervising 3–4 technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including 480V three-phase equipment.
- Complete welding, fabrication, and machinery repairs.
- Repair conveyors, pumps, valves, and other industrial equipment.
- Monitor and adjust machinery for efficient operation.
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure workplace safety.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Support equipment installation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred).
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance.
- Welding and metal fabrication experience; sanitary welding is a plus.
- Knowledge of VFDs; PLC knowledge preferred.
- Experience with pumps, valves, and stainless-steel equipment is beneficial.
- Leadership experience required for the Lead position.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
- Able to work in physically demanding, wet, noisy, and temperature-variable environments.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and around industrial machinery.
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and wet conditions.
Hiring Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
