Overview
Seeking a Protection & Control Design Engineer to support transmission, generation, and distribution projects involving protection & control systems and substation physical design. This role includes both new and existing substation projects and offers opportunities to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design and review protection & control drawings, including one-lines, three-lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials.
- Design and review physical substation drawings, including grounding plans, conduit and raceway layouts, electrical plans, profiles, and related calculations.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Participate in site evaluations and engineering scope development.
- Support project execution through quality control and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Engineering Technology degree may also be considered).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of relay one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
