Overview

Seeking an experienced attorney to support complex civil litigation and appellate matters. This role partners closely with trial attorneys, provides strategic litigation support, and manages appellate cases from research through briefing and argument preparation. Ideal candidates are strong legal writers, analytical thinkers, and collaborative team members.

Location: Must reside in FL or GA

  • FL Bar required

Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation and trial support on insurance defense matters.
  • Manage all phases of appellate litigation, including briefs, motions, and filings.
  • Attend trials as appellate counsel when needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Assist with hearings, case strategy, and client guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Meet billable hour requirements.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Florida Bar admission.
  • 5+ years of insurance-related litigation experience, including one or more of the following:
    • Insurance coverage and bad faith litigation
    • First- and third-party insurance claims
    • Personal injury defense
    • Auto liability
    • Premises liability
    • Property damage
    • Products liability
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently.

  • Appellate litigation.
  • Trial support in complex civil cases.
