Section Supervisor – Production

Role Summary

Oversee machine operations and production personnel within an assigned section to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. Responsible for coordinating daily activities, optimizing workforce performance, and maintaining operational standards.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Shift Supervisor and collaborates with production teams and associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, cost control, and adherence to quality standards
• Monitor machine performance using production data and inspection reports; resolve operational issues promptly
• Ensure routine maintenance of machinery and tooling to minimize downtime
• Support setup operations to maintain production schedules and quality requirements
• Direct and guide machine operators to meet output and quality targets
• Complete and maintain accurate production documentation and reports
• Assign tasks based on team members' skills and support their development and performance improvement
• Enforce safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment
• Identify and recommend process or equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Required Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Strong troubleshooting skills in injection molding processes and tooling

• Ability to operate and maintain assembly and production equipment

• Effective leadership and supervision of the hourly workforce

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding
• Strong understanding of production equipment and mold-setting processes
• Working knowledge of resins and materials used in manufacturing

• Capable of serving as backup Section Supervisor when required
