Credit Analyst II

Overview

Responsible for conducting detailed credit analysis for commercial and real estate loan requests. Evaluates financial data, assesses risk, and supports lending decisions by preparing comprehensive credit analyses and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other financial data to assess borrower creditworthiness.
  • Conduct ratio, trend, and industry analysis to evaluate financial performance and risk levels.
  • Prepare cash flow analyses based on personal and business financial information.
  • Develop pro-forma financial models to assess the ability to repay existing and proposed debt.
  • Review collateral, property appraisals, and environmental reports related to loan requests.
  • Prepare written credit analyses and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
  • Support the loan approval process by preparing credit documentation and authorization materials.
  • Guide credit policies and assist lending teams with credit-related questions.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Formal commercial credit training or equivalent coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of banking or credit experience, including at least 2 years in commercial credit analysis.
  • Knowledge of lending practices, credit risk assessment, and financial regulations.
  • Experience using financial analysis tools and software.

Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
