Maintenance Technician - Nights 7p-7a

Location: Bethlehem, PA, USA

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician for our client, located in Bethlehem, PA.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of various equipment and facilities within the company. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.

- Perform repairs on machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Carry out mold changes as needed.

- Perform machining, milling, and metal fabrication tasks.

- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment and facilities remain in optimal condition.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repair work.

- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

- Keep the work area clean and organized.

- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

 

Qualifications:

 

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience with plastics blow molding operations (injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding, etc.) is required.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within the plastics industry.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

- Proficient in conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.

- Experience with welding and fabrication is advantageous.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
