Position Overview

The HR Coordinator supports daily human resources operations in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment. This position provides employee support while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, temporary staffing, employee engagement, HR administration, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and new-hire orientation.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing activities, including staffing requests, candidate submissions, start dates, assignment changes, and weekly timecard reporting.
  • Prepare offer letters, confidentiality agreements, background checks, and new-hire documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee files, HRIS records, and time and attendance systems.
  • Manage employee ID badges and uniform programs.
  • Review and process HR-related invoices.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, time off, and workplace policies.
  • Conduct exit interviews and communicate findings to HR management.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, service awards, events, and employee communications.
  • Support training, safety initiatives, and other HR programs.
  • Collaborate with HR team members, managers, employees, vendors, and staffing partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable employment regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or a multi-shift environment.
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and/or temporary staffing preferred.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Fluent bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, and climb stairs.
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and communication ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Candidates must currently live within approximately 30 miles of Faribault, MN.
