Injection Molding Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician with strong troubleshooting abilities and a solid understanding of injection molding processes. This role is suited for someone who performs well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings strong technical knowledge along with hands-on problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting on injection molding machines beyond routine preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation issues to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics from various machine manufacturers
• Support and optimize injection molding processes through equipment knowledge and machine adjustments
• Work with robotics and automation systems, including Wittmann robots
• Maintain and troubleshoot vision systems such as Cognex and Keyence
• Perform light fabrication work, including brackets, guards, and minor welding tasks
• Conduct hydraulic system maintenance and repairs
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain equipment reliability and operational performance

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience in an injection molding environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Working knowledge of injection molding machine operations and process flow
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics from multiple equipment manufacturers
• Experience with Wittmann robots preferred
• Familiarity with Cognex and Keyence vision systems
• Light fabrication skills, including cutting, welding, and basic machining
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
