Role Summary
Seeking a seasoned litigation attorney to independently manage a full caseload from inception through trial. The ideal candidate brings strong courtroom experience, strategic thinking, and a client-focused approach to complex insurance defense matters.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid schedule with approximately 2 days in-office
- Remote flexibility available for the right candidate
- Based in Northeast Florida
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from filing through resolution and trial
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
- Develop case strategies through legal research and analysis
- Advise clients and assist with negotiations and settlements
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management
- Maintain organized and accurate case files
- Meet billable hour expectations
Requirements
- Active Florida Bar license
- 5+ years of recent insurance defense litigation experience
- Experience handling UMBI (Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury) matters
- Strong litigation background with the ability to independently manage cases from inception through trial
- Experience conducting depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
