Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney
Position Focus
This role supports a New Jersey insurance defense practice and is designed for an attorney with solid defense-side experience who can manage cases independently. The position requires strong litigation skills, client communication, and the ability to handle matters efficiently in a collaborative environment.
Scope of Work
- Handle insurance defense matters from initial pleadings through resolution.
Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Communicate directly with insurance carriers and clients on strategy and case status.

Prepare matters for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
- Conduct legal research and provide case assessments and exposure evaluations.
Experience Requirements

Active license to practice law in New Jersey.

4–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience.

Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.

Strong knowledge of New Jersey court rules and procedures.
Additional Assets

New Jersey Bar admission.

Trial experience or exposure to high-value or complex matters.
