VP of Accounting

Position Overview

An accomplished accounting executive is sought to lead a critical finance transformation during a period of organizational transition. This leadership role requires a strategic, hands-on professional who can modernize accounting operations, strengthen financial processes, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence in a fast-moving environment.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop accounting teams across domestic and international operations
• Lead departmental transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and performance
• Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting to executive leadership
• Build, mentor, and strengthen high-performing teams through strong leadership and accountability
• Improve workflows, streamline processes, and enhance operational clarity across the accounting function
• Serve as a strategic advisor on financial planning, operational execution, and business growth initiatives
• Drive innovation through forward-thinking process improvements, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation within accounting and finance operations

Ideal Candidate Profile

• CPA required
• 10–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
• Prior experience as a Senior Controller, VP Accounting, or equivalent executive leadership level
• Strong background in property accounting, preferably within multifamily operations
• Brings both finance and accounting expertise with strong business acumen
• Proven experience leading teams across multiple regions or international operations preferred
• Forward-thinking leader with experience implementing technology, automation, and AI-driven process improvements
• Hands-on, adaptable, and decisive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Executive presence with strong leadership, communication, and team development skills

Technical Expertise

• Advanced experience with Yardi required
• Strong systems knowledge with a focus on operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process modernization
