Civil Engineer
Our client is a well-established engineering and land surveying firm in Venice and Englewood, Florida. They are seeking a licensed Civil Land Development, Roadway, and Utilities engineer to help prepare studies and designs. Candidates should have an ABET-accredited degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience in Florida or similar states. If not already licensed in Florida, candidates must obtain a license within 4 months of hire. The selected applicant will work on-site in Venice and collaborate with a skilled team on projects for private and public clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Provide multiple examples of recent design projects and relevant skills
- Maintain a solid understanding of civil and/or structural engineering analysis, design, and permitting
- Demonstrate documented computer modeling skills using programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, ARC Map (GIS), and MODRET
- Show experience in preparing plans and specifications that comply with current codes at both municipal and state levels.
Experience:
Civil engineering: 5 years (Required)
Project management: 3 years (Preferred)
Computer modeling skills in programs similar to AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, ARC Map (GIS), and MODRET (Required)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from ABET-accredited University (Required)
License:
Florida P.E. or E.I. (Required)
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday (7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.) Friday (7:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.)
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation will vary based on education, background, and experience. Benefits will include, but are not limited to: holiday pay, paid health insurance, liberal PTO, and eligibility for 401k participation after an initial introductory period.
