About the job Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Project Manager

New opening for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to be our Project Manager and oversee and lead large scale endeavors. There is no PE required for this role also this is not a designing role but must have previous experience in design to oversee the process. If you are an individual with a strong background in mechanical design, specifically HVAC and process systems with the willingness to take ownership of overseeing design from SD to CD we want to speak with you!

Salary: $130k-$150k

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the design process across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all systems.
  • Serve as liaison between engineering and clients.
  • Ability to take conceptual design through construction.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering teams to ensure timely and efficient integration of all systems.
  • Work with vendors while supporting the overall project schedule and budget.
  • Manage the development of all project designs, ensuring they meet client requirements, codes, and regulations.
  • Review and approve detailed MEP design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking and reporting on design.
  • Monitor scope changes and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize systems performance while reducing costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanicaal Engineering or related field (Masters degree a plus).
  • 8+ years experience in mechanical design of HVAC/Mechanical solutions, MEP with focus on construction projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale projects (1 Million+).
  • Strong background in managing project budgets, scope, and clients relationships.
  • Expertise in HVAC system design.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
