About the job Associate Veterinarian
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff to provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animal patients. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in animals
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed
- Communicate effectively with clients to educate them on preventive care and treatment plans for their pets
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Stay current on industry developments and advancements in veterinary medicine
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Current state veterinary license
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting (new graduates will also be considered)
- Strong surgical skills and experience with a variety of surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
