About the job Internist - Veterinary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internist to join our team at MBC Talent Connections. As an Internist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to our patients, with a focus on diagnosing and treating complex internal medicine cases. You will work closely with our team of veterinarians and support staff to develop treatment plans and provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic tests to assess the health of patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of internal medicine conditions, including endocrine, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and renal diseases
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including medication, surgery, and other therapies
- Communicate with clients about their pet's condition, treatment options, and prognosis
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Keep accurate and detailed medical records of patient care and treatment plans
- Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge
- Mentor and train veterinary students and interns as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the growth and development of the practice
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years in veterinary practice with leadership experience
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or completion of an approved residency program
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
-DEA registration
- Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis
