Qualifications:

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
  • Current State Veterinary License.
  • DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
  • Excellent Surgical and Clinical Skills
  • Strong leadership,supporting Veterinarians and Staff experience required
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Coordination: The Medical Director (MD) will provide strong leadership in collaboration with the hospital manager, overseeing both veterinary practice and hospital operations

Mentorship and Compliance: Responsible for managing and mentoring associate veterinarians while ensuring regulatory compliance in veterinary medicine.

Teamwork and Quality Care: The MD fosters an environment of collaboration, promoting the highest standards of veterinary care.

Financial and Operational Responsibility: Shares accountability with the hospital leadership team for the financial health and overall management of the hospitals operations.

Dual Role: In addition to administrative duties, the MD also serves as a practicing veterinarian, demonstrating ethical standards, a positive attitude, and influencing hospital culture.
