About the job Associate Veterinarian
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care to our clients' animal patients. You will work closely with our team of veterinarians and support staff to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, as well as provide preventive and wellness care. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on animal patients and develop treatment plans based on findings
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to determine the best course of treatment
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as needed
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required
- Educate clients on proper animal care and provide recommendations for preventive health measures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide the best possible care for patients
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Valid state veterinary license
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian preferred
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
