About the job Associate Veterinarian
We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small exotic pets
- Perform routine examinations, vaccinations, and surgeries
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries
- Develop treatment plans and communicate them to pet owners
- Educate pet owners on preventive care and wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide the best possible care for patients
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and techniques
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and client experience
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Current state veterinary license
- 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary practice (new graduates will also be considered)
- Strong surgical and medical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
