Location: Near Buffalo, New York (On-site)
Salary: $200,000–$238,000
Overview
Seeking an experienced Decontamination & Decommissioning (D&D) Planning Manager to lead planning and execution of nuclear decommissioning projects. This role is responsible for developing project plans, managing teams, ensuring safe operations, and delivering projects on time and within budget in a DOE or commercial nuclear environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of D&D projects from concept through completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and applicable procedures.
- Review and approve project controls, contracts, purchase orders, and change requests.
- Monitor project performance, resolve scheduling and coordination issues, and communicate project status.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and documentation.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project planning experience in nuclear D&D, engineering, construction, or operations/maintenance.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a DOE or commercial nuclear environment.
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
- Experience with Primavera or similar project scheduling software preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
