Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Hybrid — 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually
Bonus: 5% discretionary, not guaranteed

Position Overview

The Cost Estimator will develop cost estimates and execution plans for large-scale dredging and marine construction projects. This role works closely with project teams and senior leadership and offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for competitive bid projects.
  • Review and summarize project plans and specifications.
  • Create clear overview drawings for presentations and project discussions.
  • Present estimates and project plans to senior management.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to estimate development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other support teams.
  • Manage multiple project tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Provide estimating support to project managers during construction.
  • Monitor project costs, production, and budgets throughout project execution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience estimating or bidding on large-scale projects, including projects valued at $25 million or more.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
