Position Overview

Senior I&E Technician supporting a pilot plant environment, responsible for maintaining and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Role Summary

This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and handling unscheduled repairs. You'll work with electrical systems (480V and below), plant instrumentation, and diagnostic tools to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on electrical systems and instrumentation
  • Calibrate instruments, test interlocks, and troubleshoot loops
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and equipment issues
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plant documentation
  • Install conduit, cables, and related components
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures
  • Support maintenance planning and material procurement
  • Maintain accurate records, procedures, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (technical certification preferred)
  • 7+ years of I&E experience in industrial or chemical plant settings
  • PLC experience (preferably Allen-Bradley systems)
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on-call, including weekends or holidays
