Role Overview
This role leads the interior design and furniture specification process for commercial projects from concept through installation. Youll own creative direction while ensuring all drawings, renderings, and specifications are fully coordinated and ready for ordering and installation. Ideal for a designer who works independently, communicates confidently with clients, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties
Design Leadership

Lead interior design and furniture specification for assigned projects

Align designs with client goals, budgets, and space requirements

Develop space plans, finish concepts, and visual presentations
Design Documentation

Produce 3D renderings, drawings, and finish boards
-
Prepare detailed furniture schedules and specifications
-
Validate SKUs, finishes, fabrics, configurations, and layouts
-
Ensure documentation accuracy for ordering and installation
-
Provide as-builts and closeout documentation
Client & Team Coordination

Participate in and lead client presentations and design discussions
-
Serve as primary design contact for assigned projects

Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Order Entry teams
-
Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and installation
-
Support installation and provide field clarifications as needed
Project & Resource Management

Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
-
Maintain finished libraries, samples, and product resources
-
Contribute to workflow efficiency and team collaboration
Required Background
-
Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred

Commercial interior or contract furniture design experience preferred
-
Portfolio showing commercial project work
-
Proficiency in CET, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar

Knowledge of commercial furniture systems and specifications
-
Licensure is a plus, but not required
