Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for a specialty and emergency hospital. This hands-on leadership role combines advanced clinical practice with protected administrative time, focusing on medical excellence, team development, and hospital growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership across specialty and emergency services

  • Mentor veterinarians, interns, and support staff

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $180,000–$275,000, based on specialty, experience, and production
  • Additional Medical Director stipend
  • 25% production compensation with no negative accrual

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
  • Board certification in a veterinary specialty (such as emergency, internal medicine, surgery, or a related specialty) strongly preferred
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the practicing state
  • Previous leadership experience or a strong interest in clinical leadership
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and excellent client communication
