Associate Attorney

Role Overview

Seeking a litigation attorney with 2+ years of civil litigation experience to support a practice focused on property subrogation and complex fire-loss litigation across the western United States. Candidates with backgrounds in product defect, construction defect, premises liability, insurance, or general liability matters are encouraged to apply. Plaintiff-side experience is not required, and attorneys from an insurance defense background are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle civil litigation matters related to property subrogation and fire-loss cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and case strategies.
  • Work with experts and technical evidence in complex litigation matters.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and courtroom proceedings.
  • Manage multiple cases while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in at least one western U.S. jurisdiction (AZ, CA preferred, NV, WA, OR, CO, UT, or NM).
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience with expert-driven cases and technical evidence is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary up to $130,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
