Position Overview

An experienced CADD Technician / Designer is sought to support engineering teams in the planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. This role involves preparing technical drawings, assisting with project documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual layouts and final designs for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment facilities.
  • Design water, sewer, and stormwater pipeline systems.
  • Create drawings and models using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or Revit.
  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and engineering disciplines.
  • Assist in preparing project specifications, construction quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Support permitting processes with regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of CADD practices and templates.
  • Provide support and training to other CADD personnel when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational certificate or Associate degree in Civil Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in water resources or infrastructure design within a consulting environment preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience with Civil 3D surfaces and grading.
  • Ability to create and manage CADD templates and styles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BIM / 3D modeling tools such as Revit or BricsCAD.
  • Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
  • Field survey experience.
