Equity Research Associate

Job description

We are looking for a sharp, talented and energetic analyst to join our team to help identify these winners. The equity research analyst will work with portfolio managers to make informed investment decisions. This includes conducting advanced level research, data interpretation and using financial tools to understand and predict a companys future. The analyst will be asked to develop financial models for certain industries and companies.

Responsibilities:

Generate ideas, prepares research reports that includes company overview, competitive analysis, valuation, and other relevant information based on quantitative and fundamental factors

Collect information such as SEC filings, attend investment conferences, meet company management and speak with industry experts

Prepare reports and presentations for portfolio managers, clients, consultants, and prospects to review our investment process, portfolio construction, individual positions and performance.

Requirements:

Candidates of varying background and experience are being considered; however, preferred qualifications are as follows:

1-3 years working as an Equity Research Analysis

Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills

Passion for investing

Prefer candidates with Masters Degree or Ph.D. in biomedical field or M.D.. Past publications in peer-reviewed scientific or medical journals will be a plus.
