Job Description: Commercial Painting Operations Manager

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee production, supply chain, and other operations
  • Look for wastefulness and identify areas for improvement
  • Create strategies to make operations as efficient as possible
  • Communicate & schedule w/ foremen & customers
  • Optimize day-to-day activities: Streamline workflows to enhance profitability
  • Ensure quality control
  • Ability to hire, retain & fire employees
  • Give reviews & raises to employees
  • Maintain equipment & warehouse (sprayers, generators, etc.)
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to manage up to 30 people (foremen & painters)
  • Lead and participate in safety training
  • Ability to maintain inventory for projects; order materials and avoid over-ordering
  • Work closely w/ various departments
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning
  • Manage conflict identify root cause and address promptly

Skills/Qualifications Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in commercial painting w/ paint & primers, brush/roll & spray techniques
  • Prior management experience of paint crews
  • Strong organizational skills in field and office
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish a plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, timekeeping & scheduling software
  • Able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Reliable, self-motivated, professional

Job Type: Full-time in person

Salary: From $100,000 per year for qualified candidates

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Operations Manager: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Painting: 5 years (Optional)
