MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer – AI-Native Applications to join a fast-growing European technology company building an AI-powered workforce platform for the healthcare sector.

The company operates a multi-sided marketplace used by hundreds of hospitals and care organizations across several European countries, connecting healthcare institutions with verified nurses, assistants, and doctors. AI is already embedded into operational workflows, including shift matching, support automation, and candidate interactions.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on engineering position for someone who wants to own outcomes across the full product stack rather than work on isolated tickets or a single technical layer.

AI-assisted development is part of the standard engineering workflow. The ideal candidate already uses AI coding tools every day, understands where they accelerate development, knows where they fail, and rigorously verifies the output they produce.

You will work in a small, highly technical, founder-led environment with significant ownership over product and engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production web applications end to end.
• Work across frontend, backend, databases, cloud infrastructure, and product workflows.
• Build modern user experiences using TypeScript and React or comparable frontend technologies.
• Develop backend services using Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or related technologies.
• Design robust SQL schemas for complex, real-time operational workflows.
• Deploy and operate applications in AWS or GCP environments.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of the daily software-development workflow while maintaining strong review and verification practices.
• Collaborate directly with product, design, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Take ownership of technical outcomes from initial problem definition through production operation.
• Build secure and reliable systems handling sensitive healthcare-related information.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of production web applications from frontend through backend and deployment.
• Strong TypeScript experience and hands-on knowledge of a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
• Professional experience with at least one backend language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience designing schemas for complex application workflows.
• Experience deploying and operating production applications on AWS or GCP.
• Daily, practical use of AI coding assistants.
• Ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-generated code rather than accepting output blindly.
• Strong product mindset and ability to operate with a high level of autonomy.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms.
• Production experience with LLM APIs.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Experience building agent-based workflows.
• Exposure to AI evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with constraint-solving, scheduling, or marketplace systems.
• Previous experience in high-growth product companies or marketplaces.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The strongest candidate is a full-stack product engineer who is comfortable owning an entire product surface and does not require a large platform team or a detailed specification before starting.

You should be comfortable working close to users and business teams, making technical decisions independently, and using AI as a real engineering tool rather than an occasional experiment.

Compensation

• Base salary between €60,000 and €90,000 gross annually, depending on experience.
• Early-stage equity participation.

Work Arrangement

This opportunity is based in Barcelona, Spain.
