Senior Accountant-Junior Financial Controller

THE POSITION

The Company is an administration consultancy carrying out Administrative and Financial Support Services for international clients, all operating outside Cyprus, a number of them operating outside Europe (Asia and Africa).

The position at hand is a newly developed position, so the tasks and responsibilities are in the process of being formulated according to the needs. Thus, we are looking for someone who can take the challenge to tailor and establish a productive and practical workflow.

The main parts of the position are

  • Financial control and consultancy of the companies forementioned (approximately 10 small international companies).
  • Audit consultancy and administrative support
  • General support individual international clients regarding personal economic and administrational matters
  • Communicate with and support these clients taking good care of their banking relationships with e.g. regular update of due diligence, documentation in regards to transfers, follow up on all matters until finalized etc.
  • Assist management with any tasks necessary

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

  • Languages: English is a must - being able to speak or at some point ready to learn Portuguese or Spanish is considered an advantage
  • University degree in accounting and auditing is an advantage
  • Digital knowledge and abilities:
    • Excel, Word, Publisher, Adobe
    • Communication via digital means
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Bookkeeping is an advantage

PERSONALITY TRAITS AND PROFESSIONAL ETHOS:

  • Used to taking full responsibility for clients audit, accounts and administration is considered necessary
  • Ability to work independently and take the full responsibility for own area, tasks and production priorities as well as the Companys tasks and production
  • A high degree of ability and interest to fit well into an international small team of co-employees is a must
  • A high level of interest in getting to know well the Companys international clients and their work and circumstances is needed
  • Performing at all times with the highest ethics towards clients, team members and management always communicating with a humble, kind and professional attitude
  • Being ready to travel for support of internal audit 2 or more weeks at a time when needed (very rare occasions)

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES CONCRETELY

  • Every month support app 10 international small companies doing internal audit, control of vouchers, control of reconciliation, control of updated cash flow on distance, control of payroll
  • Support the yearly audit timely for app 10 international companies
  • Responsible for support on Board Meetings and Annual General Meetings
  • Keeping digital archives up to date at all times
  • Communicate weekly/monthly in a professional manner with people in developing countries regarding administration of each of the app 10 small companies
  • Keeping management informed, producing good overviews of the developments for each client in order to decide pursuing the best way forward when issues
  • Every month communicate with Individual Clients regarding tasks to be done, and taking care of these tasks
  • Co-operate smoothly with the rest of the Team through daily, weekly and monthly meetings, discussion of plans etc

Salary According to qualifications and experiences

Time Schedule 08.00-16.30 Monday-Thursday (w 30 min lunch break)

08.00-14.00 Friday (with no lunch break)
