A well-established company producing paints/emulsions in Lebanon is seeking to employ a Commercial Manager that will operate in Cyprus

Job Duties

Creating an International Market for the EMPLOYER and expanding export activities. The candidate will be the main driver in the Cyprus operation and is expected to expand sales in the international markets. The candidate is expected to travel regularly. Entrepreneurial skills, knowledge of the paint/coating industry or related industries along with sales and marketing abilities are very crucial for the position.

The key primary responsibility is new business development and helping expand the EMPLOYER clientele and further expand the EMPLOYER brand awareness. Acting as the front of the company, the role requires the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

The goal is to drive sustainable business growth through boosting export sales and forging strong relationships with clients starting from Cyprus and expanding to international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development and Customer Relations

  • Develop the strategy for the international markets where EMPLOYER is planning to expand and recommend new markets of interest.
  • Initiate contact with key players in the market; develop business relations and ensure to materialize those relations in terms of contracts and business development and outsourcing to promote a private label when suitable.
  • Translate the requests of the customers and recommend the adjustment of the product portfolio to meet the international market demands. Ensure that all export operations comply with local regulations and manage logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with CEO to develop new distribution networks and agree on sales strategy, and continuously track brand performance and trends as to sales quantities and profitability.
  • Ensure targets and budgets are met and according to plans
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand local customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Provide excellent support to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Critical Competencies

  • Experience Minimum 3 years experience in business development in paints/emulsions or construction material
  • Knowledge University Degree in Business/Economics
  • Good knowledge of the Cypriot market and other potential export markets is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies Verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages are a plus
