Software Admin/Advisor Core Apps Team

Maverick Associates are recruiting for an experienced Software Administrator/Advisor to join a well-established digital change consultancy and managed services provider who solve complex technology and business challenges for a broad range of industries, sectors, and culture.

This is a full time permanent based opportunity based in Brighton.

The successful Software Advisor will be part of the Core Apps Teams and will support the day-to-day operation of the applications, products and services that fall within the scope of platform area, providing an escalation point for support activities to any staff, monitoring and maintaining systems, and enabling the delivery of applications services that provide high levels of availability and quality of service.

Key Tasks (but not limited to):

• Boomi re-platforming
• Cognos platforming to improve resilience.
• Discovery & Documentation.
• Incident & Service Request fulfilment.
• Oversight/Implementation of change.
• Problem Solving.
• Software Installations on Linux/windows environments.
• Optimisation recommendations and implementation.
• Working with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and best practice towards area of expertise

Technical and skill areas required (but not limited to):

• Oracle/SQL
• Linux/Windows
• D.B.A.
• Azure
• Excellent communication skill, both verbally and in writing across all levels
• Planning and organisational skills, including project management
• Analytical skills with the ability to generate effective solutions and make effective decisions
• A flexible approach to working hours. Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the client

The Software Advisor will take appropriate action to investigate incidents and problems, ensuring they are fully recorded within the Service Management tool, and establish and implement approved resolutions and preventative measures.

Whats on offer?

Annual salary between £35 - £45K (DOE)

25 days annual holiday with birthday off in addition.
