Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Manager who can lead recruitment efforts across global markets, with a focus on senior leadership hiring, mission-aligned team building, and incentives structuring. This is a critical role as Mati Carbon scales operations across multiple continents.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Hiring & Strategy
- Design and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract senior leadership and specialized experts across science, operations, engineering, policy, and climate finance.
- Partner with hiring managers and executives to develop role descriptions, interview structures, and scorecards.
Global Recruitment Execution
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (sourcing, outreach, screening, evaluation, offer negotiation) across India, Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the USA.
- Build and manage relationships with recruitment agencies and headhunters in key geographies.
Incentive and Compensation Design
- Work with the CEO and finance team to structure competitive compensation frameworks, including ESOPs, bonuses, and mission-driven incentive schemes.
- Help design incentive programs that drive retention and align with Mati’s climate and farmer-first mission.
Employer Brand and Candidate Experience
- Own the employer brand narrative, ensuring it reflects Mati’s unique mission and culture.
- Ensure all candidates experience a thoughtful, respectful, and high touch hiring process.
Systems and Reporting
- Implement and manage ATS tools, hiring dashboards, and recruitment analytics.
- Track DEI metrics and ensure inclusive hiring practices are embedded across processes.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years hiring senior and specialized roles.
- Strong familiarity with climate-tech, deeptech, or mission-driven startup environments.
- Experience managing full-cycle hiring across India and international markets.
- Ability to design and communicate non-standard incentive programs for a mix of employees, consultants, and collaborators.
- Passion for climate justice, equity, and working in cross-cultural global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a fast-scaling startup or nonprofit organization.
- Understanding of carbon markets, agriculture, or sustainability sectors.
- Proficiency with modern hiring tools like Lever, Greenhouse, Recruitee, or similar ATS.
- Background in HR, Organizational Psychology, or Compensation Design is a plus.
