Compensation: Up to $185,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Infection Prevention Manager to join a leading acute care hospital in Santa Clarita, CA. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated infection prevention team and drive system-wide initiatives that ensure patient and staff safety while maintaining regulatory excellence.
Position Overview
The Infection Prevention Manager reports to the Director of Quality and leads a collaborative team of three Infection Preventionists and one Data Abstractor. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing all infection prevention and control activities, developing and implementing policies and protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the hospitals Infection Prevention Program.

Develop, implement, and monitor infection control practices in accordance with CDC, APIC, and state/federal guidelines.

Partner with medical staff, nursing, and ancillary departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards and prepare for surveys and audits.

Analyze and report infection data, trends, and outcomes to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree required; completion of formal Infection Prevention training (APIC preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention within an acute care setting.

CIC certification strongly preferred.

Membership in APIC desirable.

RN license not required, but candidates with healthcare clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

BLS certification required.
