About the job Senior Attorney- Labor and Employment Litigation
A respected law firm with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney to join its Team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish and bring a comprehensive understanding of employment law matters.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience defending single-plaintiff litigation matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and reasonable accommodation issues
- Familiarity with PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) matters
- Experience handling class action lawsuits
- Ability to manage all phases of litigation independently
- Strong legal research and writing skills, supported by a solid academic background
- Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery
- Skilled in drafting and arguing various motions, including dispositive and discovery motions
- Experience taking and defending depositions, including plaintiff depositions and corporate witness depositions
- Knowledge and experience in providing employment counseling related to federal and state employment laws and regulations
- A smaller portable book of business is ideal, but not required
