Role Overview

The Chief Operating Officer will report directly to the firm's Managing Partner and be responsible for overseeing all non-legal operations, including staff management, business strategy implementation, and operational efficiency. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a small, fast-paced environment and can balance strategy with execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the firm's staff in 6 offices, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Oversee and improve operational processes, including finance, HR, IT, and office management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the firm's growth and efficiency goals.
  • Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation in collaboration with leadership.
  • Streamline workflows and implement tools and technologies to improve productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Partner with firm leadership to execute the strategic vision and achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in operations, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operational tools and systems
