Job Summary:

As the Staffing Manager, your role will operate out of Kuala Lumpur to cover 8 offices across Southeast Asia. You will play a critical part in developing and executing local and regional staffing initiatives to manage our clients pool of talent and strategise effective staffing decisions. The ideal candidate we are looking for is someone who is not just an expert at relationship management but also impact-driven: you are always on the hunt for what will best optimise resources across a multinational, rapid-growth operational system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate consistent optimisation of resource allocation and staffing operational model, ensuring maintenance of and constantly refining and transforming staffing processes and policies to drive efficiency and maintain a high standard of excellence across the region
  • Drive strategic development initiatives to constantly grow and advance key drivers of business
  • Ensure effective alignment between staffing and other key functions of the business
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for escalation to make key staffing decisions that balance business and people needs in the region
  • Carry out staffing analysis and convey staffing reports to senior leadership teams
  • Facilitate staffing forums and meetings to educate consultants on staffing processes and policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 10-15 years managing staffing or a similar HR function in a large consulting/ professional services firm is required
  • Solid understanding of the strategy management consulting business
  • As this is a fully in-person role, you must be currently based in or willing to relocate to the Kuala Lumpur office
  • Effective and pragmatic grasp of how to balance stakeholder and strategic needs to attain the best commercial impact
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills - you have the ability to build relationships quickly, establish trust, and exercise good judgement and negotiation in your professional interactions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and an intuitive ability to apply targeted stakeholder communication across levels of business
  • Sterling organisational and multitasking skills to proactively and independently execute tasks
