Job Summary:

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations while reporting to the CEO. Your expertise in financial management, thorough attention to detail, and strategic foresight will be significant in driving the financial success and regulatory compliance of the companys organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Leading the budgeting process, analyse financial data, and provide strategic insights for forecasting and planning purposes.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management strategies, ensuring effective mitigation of financial risks and optimizing investment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Supervise and mentor finance teams (once the firm grows), providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Liaise with external auditors, facilitating audit processes and addressing any financial queries or concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing efficient financial procedures to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 8 to 10 years in a senior financial role within the finance industry, preferably in trading, investment management, or a related field.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Thorough understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements within the trading industry.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions.
